Newtie goes to town

One of the gifts of gardening that we pay special attention to is the opportunity to practice a bit of nature preservation. Looking at the planet as an intact living organism and taking a respectful approach one can play a part in caring for it, even in a small space.  

Categorized as a threatened species, this California Newt is one of many found and welcomed seasonally at Heron Headquarters outside Petaluma.
