God of the Rainbow
What a stunning spring it's been and how good to give our irrigation systems a longer spring break than usual.
It was hard to get a good picture of this double rainbow which appeared over Heron Headquarters’ pond and felt like a sign from the gods. We're not sure what the gods were saying, but surely it was something important.
According to Wikipedia, "Cuchavira was the god of the rainbow for the Muisca in present day Colombia and when the regular rains on the Bogota savannah were over, the people thanked him offering gold, snails and small emeralds."
