Today is World Bee Day.  As we've all heard, pollinators are essential to our food production and are endangered. National Wildlife Federation website lists the six ways we can help support bee populations.

• provide water

• plant native plants

• cut back on lawns and replace them with plants that support pollinators.  (FYI, Dandelions are a favorite of bees and of Dandelion Garden Design!)

• buy organic produce

• Avoid pesticides (Buy plants that have not been treated with nicotinoids.)

• create habitat for them such as a bee house
